Shallow Hal

It's amazing how shallow I can feel after reading something very profound and deep. I feel like I have nothing in life figured out, but on top of that, that I am not even looking to figure things out. No deep thinking, no grasping at life's greater concepts, no search to truly understand my purpose, and thus the world turns while i feel completely

shallow

we don't have to figure out life, just enjoy it thoroughly, you should check bush777 on xanga, just look at a few of his entries, he went to my uni, he was a cool kid, i think he makse things more fun than i do, we aren't wild and crazy and creative enough, well i feel that i'm not, maybe you feel that too for you?

Yeah. The problem with "figuring things out" is that it requires you to contemplate possibilities that are uncomfortable and possibly very difficult to deal with. I don't think you're shallow, but I know you like to avoid conflict. For now, I imagine, it's just fine to just work towards a good, stable life before you start challenging yourself on that more "profound" level again.
